School Events
Throughout the school year chidren are involved in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities.

The biennial School Production
The school production is a highlight of the school calendar every alternate year. Students, teachers and helpers help produce this fantastic show. It is an opportunity for students to write, direct, perform in and produce an original show that is based on their current big learning theme. All students in the school are stars on the stage in the production, which combines the performing arts in a musical show with a message.
In 2009 the production was based on the big theme of sustainability. The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle message was a result of student learning throughout the year based on the question “Waste or Treasure?”
The Cushion Concert
At the end of each year Owhiro Bay School celebrates the year’s achievements with a cushion concert. This is also a chance to farewell the year 6 students, present end of year awards and take part in a Christmas sing a long.
In 2010 the Cushion Concert is scheduled for Wednesday 15th December- see you there.
