Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand with a population of around 350,000 people. Located on the south coast of the North Island, Wellington is a lively and vibrant city built on wooded hills surrounding a magnificent harbour.
Once the domain of grey suited civil servants Wellington is now renown for its well developed restaurant/cafe and theatrical culture. Boasting the highest concentration of eating establishments in the country there is never any shortage of places to wine and dine. It is also the home of the modern national museum Te Papa, and of the government.
