Ōwhiro Bay School welcomes new enrolments at any time. There are a number of forms to fill in before starting at Ōwhiro Bay School. Please ring or call in at school office (8.30am-1.30pm daily) weeks prior to enrolment to pick up an enrolment pack.

Flexible Cohort Entry

If you have previously enrolled a New Entrant at our school, you are most likely familiar with the previous Cohort entry system.   This required new students to begin at one of two entry points during the term.
We have decided to switch to an ‘informal cohort’ entry.   This will enable us to allow a student to start following their fifth birthday, rather than wait until the next cohort entry date.  If, however, we have a larger group of New Entrants ready to start in close proximity to each other, we will ask parents to hold off starting their child until the next cohort date.   This will enable the classroom teacher to prepare for a larger group arriving at once.
